Production & Sustainability

Every artwork is printed to order using museum-grade giclée printing on Hahnemühle German Etching 310 gsm, one of the world's most respected fine art papers. This made-to-order approach reduces unnecessary inventory while ensuring each print is produced specifically for your order.

Our archival pigment inks deliver exceptional colour accuracy, rich tonal depth, and outstanding longevity. The softly textured matte surface beautifully captures the character of both historic masterpieces and contemporary works.

Why Giclée Printing?

Giclée printing is the museum standard for fine art reproduction. Using archival pigment inks and high-resolution printing technology, it faithfully reproduces delicate brushwork, subtle tonal transitions, and intricate detail while providing exceptional fade resistance for decades when properly displayed.

The Descent from the Cross with Saint Francis and Another Friar

Artwork: Painted in 1619, The Descent from the Cross with Saint Francis and Another Friar unites the sorrowful scene of Christ's descent from the Cross with the devotional presence of Saint Francis of Assisi and a fellow Franciscan friar. Jacopo Ligozzi's refined composition, expressive figures, and rich color create a moving meditation on the Passion and the enduring witness of Franciscan spirituality.

Artist: Jacopo Ligozzi (1547–1627) was an Italian painter, draftsman, and illustrator whose career flourished in Florence under the patronage of the Medici family. Celebrated for his meticulous technique and richly detailed religious works, Ligozzi combined Renaissance precision with the expressive qualities that anticipated the Baroque era.

Curator's Notes: Ligozzi was admired for balancing careful observation with heartfelt devotion. By placing Saint Francis within the scene of Christ's Passion, he creates a composition that encourages the viewer to contemplate both the sacrifice of Christ and the lifelong dedication of those who sought to imitate Him through lives of humility and service.

Paper: All physical prints are produced on Hahnemühle German Etching 310 gsm fine-art paper.
